Junior Gardeners

We've done some great activities so far this year - check out the pictures on this page.   This  free program is open to all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.

The students meet after school from 2:45- 3:45 in the Deer Hill cafeteria.  Meeting dates for 2008-2009:

• Nov 17 "Dried Arrangements for Thanksgiving"
• Dec 15 "Holiday Greenery"
• Jan 12 "Fun with Recycling: Plants and More"
• Feb 9 "Posies & Sachets"
• Mar 9 "From Little Seeds"
• Apr 13 "Designing for Show"
• May 11 "Flower Show Finishing Touch"

Parents are always welcome to observe and/or volunteer at any meetings.

This program is being financed through the  volunteer work of its members in several fund raising endeavors. The most well known is the Christmas House Tour held every other December. Through the endeavors of the full club, we have published two cookbooks, Cohasset Entertains and by popular demand is in the process of being reprinted plus Cohasset Entertains Encore which is currently available.  The Eclectic Gardener, the newest publication is a month by month gardening journal packed with plant information plus recipes and crafts.

Each month a different club member works on a project with the children.
